7-Eleven Australia has appointed Fiona Hayes as its new CEO and Managing Director. Ms Hayes will step into her role this week and bring a wealth of experience and leadership.
After joining 7-Eleven in 2022 as General Manager—channel, Ms Hayes now leads the Australian team. Her mission is to drive business strategy, grow the brand, and uphold 7-Eleven’s status as the leading convenience retailer in Australia.
With 26 years at Telstra, including 12 years on the executive team and a position on the Telstra Foundation Board, Ms Hayes brings extensive experience in operations and retail networks.
“It’s an honour to lead 7-Eleven Australia,” Ms Hayes stated. “I’m grateful to the 7-Eleven International team for this opportunity. We aim to redefine convenience for our customers. I’m excited to collaborate with our stores, partners, and support office to achieve our goals.”
Ms. Hayes is known for her ability to lead large, cross-functional teams to deliver strategic results in customer satisfaction, personnel development, and commercial success.
Angus McKay, who led 7-Eleven Australia since 2016, focused on strategic initiatives, new operating models, and enhancing profitability through strong financial and operational management. He also made significant strides in transforming the company’s culture and sustainability practices.
On July 9, 2024, Bapcor Limited, Asia Pacific’s top vehicle parts and services provider, announced Angus McKay’s appointment as Executive Chair and CEO starting August 22, 2024. With over 30 years of executive experience, Mr. McKay has a proven track record of improving performance and increasing shareholder value across various industries.
