Inquiries continue after armed robbery of service station at Narrabri

Police are investigating after a service station employee was robbed at knife point in the state’s North West Slopes.

About 4.40am today (Thursday 26 September 2019), two men entered a service station on the Newell Highway at Narrabri and threatened the employee with a knife as they demanded money and cigarettes.

The men left the station with a sum of cash and cigarettes and were last seen running north through bushland towards Kelvin Vickery Avenue.

The employee was not harmed.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Police wish to speak with the occupant/s of an older model white dual cab tray back ute seen driving from the location on Cooma Road towards Narrabri a short time after the offence.
