Terrifying footage has been released showing a masked gunman shooting a service station worker during an attempted robbery.
The CCTV footage showed a man entering a 7-Eleven on Springvale Road in Melbourne’s south-east just before 4.30am on August 8, 2018.
The video was released by Victoria Police on Wednesday, who also announced there would be a $350,000 reward for information on the shooter.
The 40-year-old employee was shot in the arm during the incident and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A customer was in the store during the incident but was uninjured.
The offender followed a customer into the store, approached the front counter and demanded cash, police say.
The frightened staff member tried to hide in a store room behind the counter but the gunman shot him in the arm.
The shooter tried to steal money but was unable to access the till.
He then fled the store on foot and headed south.
The man of interest was wearing a black beanie, a grey hooded jumper, dark coloured pants and a black and white bandana covering the bottom half of his face.
He is of African appearance and is about 180cm tall.

Anyone who regularly travelled the Springvale South area around the time of incident has been urged to provide information.
Detectives are encouraging people who recall seeing suspicious people or vehicles prior to the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.
