Stolen dalby car connected to Warra fuel drive off and Miles crime

A manhunt is underway for a wanted person who committed crimes in Miles, Warra, and Dalby.

Police are on the hunt for a man known to them after he committed multiple crimes across the Western Downs region.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the wanted man allegedly stole a car in Nandi south of Dalby on May 13, or 14.

The man allegedly drove west towards Chinchilla, where a Chinchilla police spokeswoman said he stole fuel from the Liberty Service Station in Warra on May 14, at 7.30pm.

The Chinchilla police spokeswoman said the man has also allegedly committed property offences in Miles.

Property offences can include anything from stealing, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, fraud, robbery, extortion, housebreaking, arson and wilful damage.

Eight days and 150km later, the Queensland Police spokeswoman said the stolen car had been located damaged on Greenwattle Street in Toowoomba at 1.10pm – May 21.

“He allegedly committed (a spate of) property offences in the region… largely break and enters,” she said.

The wanted man remains at large, and anyone with information related to the above crimes is urged to call policelink on 131 444.
