Stolen car used in Geelong petrol theft

Police are investigating a number of thefts in Melbourne and Geelong.

At about 12.00pm on August 17 an opportunistic offender stole an unlocked vehicle from outside a property on Sydney Road in Coburg, which was used in a petrol theft at a Portarlington Road service station in Newcomb at about 10.00am the following day.

The same vehicle collided with a boom gate in an underground carpark in Melbourne’s CBD at about 5.00pm on the same day, causing damage.

Photos have been releaed of a male police believe will be able to assist with their enquiries.
