Police are searching for a man who threatened a Sarina service station worker with a knife in an attempted armed robbery he ultimately bungled and fled.
A man who threatened a Sarina service station worker with a knife before fleeing empty-handed remains on the run.
The man entered the Puma store on Range Road about 7.15am Sunday and waved a knife towards a shop attendant.
But the man ran from the store soon after and was last seen getting into a red vehicle that the area.
A police spokesman said nothing was stolen in the attempted robbery, and the store worker was not physically injured.
Police were unable to confirm the make and model of the car.
Investigations are continuing.
