QLD Service Station Workers Held Hostage

Two service station employees were held hostage by a group of armed thieves in Queensland earlier today.

The incident occurred in the early hours when one worker was stocking milk into a fridge, while another worked behind the counter. Suddenly, five masked individuals burst into the store, armed with crowbars and hunting knives.

Exclusive footage obtained by 9News shows the group intimidating the workers for over five minutes, during which the employees pleaded for their release. One of the thieves pointed a knife at one of the workers during the ordeal.

The workers were then forcibly dragged into a back room, where the thieves demanded the keys to the safe and cigarette cabinet. However, the employees had no knowledge of the codes, and after some time, the robbers appeared to abandon their efforts and fled the scene.

The perpetrators remain at large, with police actively investigating the incident and urging anyone with information to come forward.

Authorities suspect that this robbery could be connected to a similar armed hold-up that took place at a BP service station in Thornlands around 4 am the previous day. In that incident, the cashier was also dragged by thieves wielding crowbars, and the criminals made off with thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes.
