Police release CCTV footage of scary armed robbery at Meadowbrook service station

A female worker’s night has turned life-threatening after being held up at gunpoint in a terrifying armed robbery at a service station south of Brisbane.

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) released CCTV footage as part of the investigation into the armed robbery at the business on Loganlea Rd, Meadowbrook overnight.

Police say around 11pm a man entered the service station and produced a firearm before pointing it at the female staff member and making demands for money.

The woman complied with the man’s demands and he then fled on foot with cash with investigators believing the man left the scene in a waiting vehicle.

The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, around 180cm tall with a solid build and an olive complexion.

He was wearing a blue and white long sleeved flannelette shirt, a dark coloured beanie with a black shirt, black pants and a surgical face mask.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with information to come forward and are asking homeowners, businesses and motorists in the area to provide relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.
