Police charge teenager, man over alleged Bannockburn service station robbery

Detectives from the Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit have arrested a Bannockburn man and teenage boy after an alleged armed robbery at Bannockburn in the early hours of Friday morning.

It is alleged three men held up a service station on the Midland Highway just after 1am, stealing cash, cigarettes and energy drinks.

They were arrested at Bannockburn on Friday afternoon.

An 18-year-old man was charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of burglary. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old was also charged with two counts of armed robbery.

He was released on bail and is due to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Police are continuing to search for a third man involved. Investigations are continuing.
