Construction on another petrol station in the Rose City is nearing completion with developers revealing the facilities that will be available. Find out what motorists can expect from the new development.
Motorists looking to fill up in Warwick will soon have another petrol station to choose from with Mobil service station set to open next week.
Developing group Pearl Energy spokesman Paul Molenda said despite a slight delay the new development was on track to open on Monday.
“We are a little behind time due to the complexities of Covid and a number of our suppliers being also held up by delays caused by Covid,” he said.
The 3151 sqm site has been fitted out to accommodate more than a dozen cars and several trucks.
Mr Molenda said there would be a convenience store and a separate truck filling canopy on the site.
“This will cater to the needs of drivers of heavy vehicles and will allow for a better movement and accessibility to our fuel dispensers for our local and travelling customers,” he said.
The store will also offer specials such as $1 fresh coffee to “encourage customers to return for some valuable savings”.
Mr Molenda said the Mobil brand prides itself on fuel excellence and offering a convenient service.
“We are just happy to look forward and open a facility that we are confident will be welcomed by the local community,” he said.
The Mobil station is on the corner of main roads Wood and Guy Streets, the site of former St Mary’s tennis court and squash courts which were demolished last year.
The new service station will operate no less than 15 hours a day, seven days a week.
Sydney-based developer Pearl Energy developed the site and will be operating the petrol station.
