Man wanted following alleged armed robbery of service station

A service station attendant has been left shaken following an alleged aggravated armed robbery early on Tuesday morning.

Police are appealing for information following the attack at a service station in Bathurst at around 7am.

Officers believe a man armed with a knife threatened the service station attendant before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.

The man was last seen walking along Bentinck Street, in Bathurst, towards Mount Panorama.

Police say the victim was not injured, but is shaken following the robbery.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm tall, of a slim build, and was last seen wearing all black including a beanie and mask.

Police urge anyone with information – including dashcam or CCTV footage – who was in the Bathurst CBD around the time of the incident, including Bentinck and Russell Streets, to contact Bathurst Police Station on 6332 8699 or Crime Stoppers.
