A MAN remains on the run after an armed robbery at an Aitkenvale service station last night.
About 10pm the man entered the Nathan St business armed with a small knife.
The man demanded money and cigarettes from a staff member, before fleeing the scene on foot.
No one was physically injured during the robbery.
The man is described as Aboriginal in appearance, aged in his late 50s or early 60s, approximately 170cm tall and of a heavy build.
Earlier, a Townsville clinic on Charters Towers Rd was also robbed just before 6pm.
