A man has been arrested in Melbourne after a convenience store stabbing left another man seriously injured.
Victoria Police were told the suspect entered the store, on the corner of Franklin and Elizabeth streets in the CBD, shortly after 11:30pm last night.
A scuffle broke out between the man and the shop attendant after he allegedly attempted to steal an item.
“The offender allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the shop attendant, who was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition,” police said.
“Police searched the area and located the man, who was arrested at an address on Elizabeth Street around 3.30am.”
