Kelso 7-Eleven fuel bowser damaged in early morning collision

A forecourt accident in the early hours of Thursday morning has caused extensive damage to one of the fuel bowsers at the 7-Eleven service station in Kelso.

At 1.30am Thursday, police received reports a white Toyota Prado collided with a fuel bowser at a service station on Sydney Road.

“The driver had purchased a number of items, including fuel, from the service station before reversing into one of the bowsers on site,” Chifley Police District Chief Inspector Glenn Cogdell said.

“The vehicle fled the scene without providing details, and police are currently investigating the incident.”

Chief Inspector Cogdell said anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The Western Advocate reached out to management at the 7-Eleven Kelso store for comment on the incident, but they respectfully declined.
