Drivers are being advised to fill their tanks today if they want to avoid a big spike in fuel prices.
Consumer watchdog Fuelwatch says the average price of unleaded petrol is set to increase by 22 cents per litre tomorrow, with some stations ramping up prices by up to 33 cents.
Most Coles Express sites are increasing the price of unleaded petrol to almost $1.48, while many 7-Eleven outlets are not far behind with $1.47.
Most Caltex and Caltex Woolworths sites will be charging $1.46 tomorrow while most Puma outlets have set the price at $1.45
BP sites are slightly cheaper at $1.44.
Perth’s weekly petrol price cycle usually results in average prices being cheapest on Sunday and Monday and at their most expensive on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Drivers who do fill up tomorrow can still find 25 outlets selling petrol below $1.20 per litre at service station in High Wycombe, Warnbro and Morley.
