Fuel price hike: Where to get cheapest fuel in Toowoomba

FUEL prices in Toowoomba are on the rise yet again, with the fair fuel price jumping 6cpl in less than a week.

Today’s RACQ fair fuel price for unleaded petrol in Toowoomba is 143.4cpl, last week it was reading at under 136.4cpl.

RACQ is always urging drivers to be savvy about where they fill their tank, and with varying fuel prices around the city is a recommendation that shouldn’t go ignored.

There are 17 fuel stations around Toowoomba that are currently selling fuel for below the fair fuel price.

The cheapest are Pacific Fuels at Drayton and Helidon Spa, selling fuel for 138.9cpl and the ones that will hit you the hardest are the BP on Bridge St and High St at 149.9cpl.

If you are heading to Brisbane the recommendation is you fill up before you leave town with motorists in the state’s capital feeling the price hike worse than us here in the Garden City.

Some service stations have pushed petrol prices to nearly 30 cents a litre above the average, with a number of Shell Coles Express outlets soaring to 167.9 cents a litre.
