Fuel Frenzy: Perth Drivers Queue For Hundreds Of Metres For Cheap Petrol

Perth loves a queue — especially if the petrol at the end is just 99 cents, where drivers have been lining up since 6am on Wednesday.
Puma Energy have opened two new locations in Perth, and are offering unleaded and diesel fuel for under $1 per litre.

It seems to have sent the city into a frenzy, with images emerging of cars stretched hundreds of metres waiting to fill up at Puma’s Baldivis site.

Puma’s general manager retail, Alan Plews said the promotion was “part of our promise to keep energising Perth”, with customers also given a free coffee after filling up.

“As an independent fuel retailer, the local community is incredibly important to us, and we wanted to celebrate our new sites by giving back to the mums and dads, the commuters and travellers who fill up at Puma,” he said.

For the promotion, Puma partnered with 92.9FM “to bring back 90’s fuel prices.”

The cheap fuel will be available at Puma Baldivis and Puma Dalton until 6am August 1.
