Woodgate service station
Application type: Material change of use
Location: Frizzells Road, Woodgate
Status: Pending
A developer has proposed a service station at Woodgate, near Childers.
The proposal is for two dual bowsers and a canopy, with hours of operation 6am-7pm, seven days a week.
According to documents lodged with Bundaberg Regional Council, the service station would have three workers on-site during operation and would be a “modern commercial structure finished in corporate colours”.
The application was submitted to the council on July 18, 2022.
Milbank service station
Application type: Material change of use and advertising device
Location: 45 Warrell and 85 Takalvan St, Millbank
Status: Pending
An application has been lodged with Bundaberg Regional Council for a new service station to be built on part of Takalvan and Warrell Sts in the suburb of Millbank.
Application documents reveal the service station intended to include a pylon sign for advertising, which would be 10m high, and 3.45m wide – meaning the sign would be 3m higher and have an area 5.75 times larger than those “anticipated” for the area.
The council requested that the pylon sign be “significantly reduced in size” in order to fall in to line with similar nearby structures.
The Takalvan St servo, if approved, will sit beside Supercheap Auto.
East Bundaberg United servo with Pie Face

Location: 48-52 Princess St, Bundaberg
Status: Approved in full with conditions
Bundaberg will have another Pie Face outlet with a new United Service Station planned for East Bundaberg.
The servo will span 48-52 Princess St, and will require demolition of existing buildings, including homes, on the intended site.
It was approved on June 3, 2022.
Childers service station works
Application type: Operational works
Location: 164-168 Churchill St, Childers
Status: Approved with conditions
CASA Building Group has lodged a successful application for a development permit for 164-168 Churchill St, Childers.
The site currently includes an existing service station and two homes beside it.
