A man has lost control of his ute just off Melbourne Road today, causing damage to a major servo.
The incident occurred at the Surrey Street BP around 11:18am, with emergency services flocking to the scene.
A man in his 30s was trapped in his vehicle for a short time, with CFA and SES safely extricating him from the vehicle.
He sustained head and facial injuries in the incident, and was initially in a serious but stable condition.
Ambulance Victoria has confirmed that the driver has since improved, and was taken to Geelong Hospital in a stable condition.
CFA remain on scene, with a council inspector to be on site soon to inspect a damaged wall.
It is unclear whether the structure is sound, or needs to be taken down.
Avoid the area while crews work to fix the issue.
