Fuel transport specialist, Burk Fuel, has expanded its fleet with the addition of three new European cabover prime movers, further strengthening its capacity to meet the evolving demands of fuel distribution.
The latest arrivals—a Volvo and two Scanias—have been integrated into the company’s diverse fleet, which is specifically designed to manage a wide range of fuel delivery operations across Western Australia and Victoria.
To maximise efficiency and adaptability, Burk Fuel operates a variety of tanker combinations, including semi triaxle tankers with a 40,000-litre capacity, B-doubles capable of carrying 55,000 to 65,000 litres, and pocket road trains with an impressive capacity of up to 80,000 litres.
The newly acquired Volvo FH540 has been deployed in Victoria, while the Scania R 580 and Scania R 540 are set to operate in Western Australia, reinforcing the company’s reach and reliability.
“These vehicles offer outstanding fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and robust performance, making them perfectly suited to our intensive operations,” stated Haris Farooq, Director of Operations.
“With a modern and well-maintained fleet, we are fully equipped to supply fuel to businesses across the region, ensuring they remain powered and productive,” he told Prime Mover.
Established in June 2019 by Umar Farooq and Anam Mazhar, Burk Fuel serves a broad range of industries, including agriculture, logistics, and marine sectors in both Western Australia and Victoria.
The company collaborates with leading trailer manufacturers such as Tieman Tankers, ATE Tankers, and Marshall Lethlean to maintain high standards in fuel transportation.
In Victoria, Burk Fuel has introduced a 25-metre B-double configuration on a Performance-Based Standards (PBS) approved route, enhancing operational efficiency.
“Our fleet is equipped with advanced safety technologies, including cutting-edge braking systems, lane-keeping assistance, and driver fatigue monitoring. This ensures the highest level of safety for both our drivers and the communities we serve,” Farooq added.
Beyond its fleet of 20 prime movers, Burk Fuel also operates its own retail fuel sites and maintains a substantial wholesale distribution network.
As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, the company is actively exploring environmentally friendly fuel solutions and advanced technologies to reduce its carbon footprint while enhancing operational efficiency.
