Blackburn armed robbery of man trying to sell Rolex at service station

A man trying to sell a Rolex at a Melbourne service station has been hit over the head with a weapon and had his car tyres punctured.

Police said the 19-year-old victim had organised to meet a man at the Whitehorse Road service station in Blackburn last Wednesday at 9pm.

But as he was talking to the man about the Rolex, he was hit over the head from behind with an unknown weapon and a scuffle ensued.

A third man also punctured his car tyres with a knife.

All three of the offenders fled the scene after allegedly stealing the victim’s watch.

Police have since released CCTV images of three men they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The victim was taken to hospital with head injuries.
