A dramatic incident unfolded at a regional petrol station when an army truck unexpectedly crashed through the roof, causing extensive damage to the structure and nearby equipment. The event, which occurred on the Bruce Highway south of Mackay in Queensland, has captured attention due to the sheer scale of destruction it left behind.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after reports came in around 5:15 pm yesterday. Apparently, the driver of the Australian Army vehicle misjudged the height of the station’s roof, resulting in a direct collision that caused the roof to collapse.
Fortunately, amidst the chaos and destruction, there were no reported injuries. However, the station did sustain significant damage, with two petrol pumps being particularly affected.
