A man has been charged over the alleged armed robbery of a petrol station in Roma earlier this week.
At approximately 7.45pm on Monday (September 19), police were called to a business along the Warrego Highway.
It will be alleged a man with a covered face threatened customers and staff with a large knife, demanding cash, cigarettes and other products.
The staff member complied before the man fled the store on foot, leaving the knife behind.
No one was physically injured in the incident.
Two days later (September 21), the man allegedly stole alcohol from a shopping centre along Wyndham Street in Roma shortly after 11.00am.
The man attempted to flee the scene on foot but was intercepted by responding police.
The man allegedly produced a knife, threatening four officers.
One of the officers deployed a taser on the man, before taking him into custody without further incident.
A 34-year-old Roma man has been charged with multiple offences, including four counts of serious assault police and one count each of armed robbery, stealing and obstruct police.
He’s been remanded in custody and is expected to reappear in Roma Magistrates Court on November 30.
Investigations are continuing.
