Appeal for information following armed robbery of service station – Stanmore

Police are appealing for information from the community following an armed robbery in Sydney’s Inner West overnight.

About 12.15am (Monday 11 April 2022), police were called to a service station on Parramatta Road, Stanmore, following reports of an armed robbery.

Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command attended and were told a man entered the service station and threatened an employee with a knife, demanding cash.

The man stole cash before fleeing on foot. He was last seen heading west bound on Parramatta Road.

The employee was not injured during the incident.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, investigators are appealing to locate a man who may be able assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance. He was wearing a blue surgical face mask, grey Abercrombie and Fitch top with ‘A&F1982’ in white lettering, light grey track pants and black runners.
