Appeal for information following armed robbery – Dubbo

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in the state’s Orana region overnight.

About 2.50am today (Monday 9 November 2020), police were called to a service station on Cobra Street, Dubbo, following reports of an armed robbery.

Police have been told a man – armed with a machete – entered the store before threatening the employee.

The armed man stole cash and fled the scene on foot.

He was seen heading in a westerly direction on Cobra Street, before he went into an alleyway on Macquarie Street.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the robbery.

Police also conducted an extensive search of the area, but the man could not be located.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist them.

He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jumper with a white ‘ECKO’ logo.
