Appeal after armed robbery – Lake Macquarie

Police are appealing for assistance after the armed robbery of a service station at Lake Macquarie early this morning.

About 5am (Sunday 12 July 2020), three people – two men and a woman – entered a service station on Wyee Road, Wyee, before the woman ran from store.

The two men, armed with knives, threatened the 26-year-old male attendant, demanding cash.

The pair fled with cash and cigarettes and were last seen running towards a laneway off Munmorah Street.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District attended the store and commenced an investigation.

The attendant was not physically injured. .

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for assistance to identify three people who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The woman has only been described as being of Caucasian appearance with long brown hair.

Both men have only been only described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in their 20s with a medium build.
