Allen’s Lollies Return with New Killer Python Flavors

An Australian favourite is making a grand return as Allen’s Lollies introduce new thrilling flavours to store shelves nationwide.

Starting Monday, Killer Pythons will be available in stores nationwide, featuring six exciting new flavours.

These new flavours—raspberry, cola, creaming soda, sour grape, sour watermelon, and sour lemon—offer a delightful mix of sweet and sour, ensuring every bite is a unique experience.

Melanie Chen, Nestlé’s head of confectionery marketing, stated that they recognised the growing demand for more dynamic taste experiences among lolly lovers, particularly with sour lollies gaining popularity. However, she noted that extremely sour lollies aren’t everyone’s preference.

“With Sweet and Sour Killer Pythons, we’ve found the perfect balance to offer Australians a juicier, more flavorful treat,” she said. “It’s a personal favourite of mine, and we’re thrilled to share it with Australia.”

Chen added that the Allen’s team believes fun is better when shared, and these sweet and sour treats are ideal for blind taste tests, knot-tying contests, and sharing with friends.

This is the latest in a series of nostalgic Aussie lollies making a comeback. Last month, Allen’s announced the return of Spearmint Leaves after a nine-year hiatus. The mint-flavoured gummy green leaf, covered in sugar, received mixed reactions on social media, with some calling it the worst lolly ever.

Additionally, Allen’s is reintroducing Sherbies in their own bag, priced at $5.
