Two people have been arrested over an armed robbery at a Wyndham Vale service station.

Police were called to the Ballan Road BP outlet just after 7.30pm on Wednesday.

The attendant told officers four people had entered the store and threatened him with a knife.

The group allegedly took cigarettes before running off.

Two males were taken into custody nearby a short time later and are now being questioned.
