Drivers will be able to enjoy big savings when they fill up at the bowser today with one petrol station offering fuel for as little as 99 cents per litre.
Freedom St Clair’s on Nerang Street in Southport on the Gold Coast will drop their prices on select petrol for a brief period on Wednesday morning.
E10 will be sold at 99 cents a litre, marked down from the city average of $1.33.
The offer will only last between 10am and 11am, and is capped at 50 litres per person.
The heavily discounted prices comes as part of a joint initiative with Little Hands Early Learning Centre in a bid to help struggling families.
But the initiative is only on offer at the one service station and drivers in other parts of the country will have to fork out more for E10.
The average price in Adelaide is set at $1.59, followed closely by Hobart on $1.50.
In Melbourne, the average E10 price sits at $1.45, with the lowest marked down to $1.32 at United on Leakes Road, Truganina.
The average in Canberra is $1.45, with the cheapest fuel going for $1.43 at BP Express on Canberra Avenue, Kingston.
Sydney’s average price is $1.38, though is marked down dramatically to $1.26 at Metro Petroleum on Canterbury Road, Bankstown.
Darwin’s average is at $1.42, and Brisbane comes in at $1.37, with its cheapest price slashed to $1.31 at Woolworths Caltex on Logan Road, Underwood.

Unleaded prices in Hobart will go as low as $1.49 per litre at places like United Hobart North on Argyle Street, North Hobart.
The Australia Institute of Petroleum calculates the average price of unleaded petrol has fallen by 1.2 cents per litre across the country.
The dip to $1.45 per litre comes amid falling global crude oil prices.
Even so, diesel has gone against the trend and risen by 0.5 cents a litre, putting it at a 22-week high. The $1.50 price tag places it just below a two-year high.
