Firefighters from the RFS and Fire and Rescue NSW are currently managing a truck rollover at the southbound service station on the Hume Highway in Sutton Forest. The B-Double truck, loaded with pet food, overturned just meters from the fuel pumps.
NSW Ambulance treated the driver at the scene before transporting him to Liverpool Hospital with non-life-threatening head injuries. The service station will remain closed for an extended period while crews work to safely remove the truck’s cargo and fuel.
Motorists travelling through the area are advised to plan their routes accordingly, as the Sallys Corner Road section of the Hume Highway should be avoided due to ongoing recovery efforts. Emergency services were initially called to the scene around 9:10 am following reports of the incident.
