Doughnut Time, which saw success in Victoria with Ampol Foodary and Woolworths MetroGo, is set to expand its reach by selling its products in 500 Ampol service stations across the country.
Kate Thomson, executive GM for Ampol, expressed delight over the “overwhelmingly positive” feedback they received from customers in Victoria and sees this national expansion as a way to support local businesses.
James Willis, founder of retail private equity fund Ellerfax, which acquired Doughnut Time in 2020, said that the company’s partnership with Ampol marks the first time an Australian retail brand has collaborated with a fuel and convenience store business on this scale. He also shared that the hand-made doughnuts, available in various flavors, have the production capacity of more than 8,000 per hour.
With this expansion, Doughnut Time will be able to reach more customers, particularly in regional and remote areas in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, the Australian Capital Territory, and Tasmania.
