Support for Australia’s independent service station operators

Drive Off Alert FAQs – How to approach a repeat offender?

Fuel theft or ‘Drive off alert faqs’ costs our industry millions of dollars every year. At ServoPro we are on a mission to reduce Drive Offs through our partnership with Drive Off Alert.

When looking at the Drive Off Alert solution, fuel retailers often ask…

If Drive Off Alert notifies me that a vehicle is on the repeat offenders database what should I do? How do I approach the customer?

Service Station operators generally have their own operating procedure to deal with this. Normally you would ask the customer to come inside and convey privately that their car has been flagged for pre-paying.

If they are genuine about paying for their previously flagged non-payment, they may ask where the record is from. In this instance, the console operator will have that information in the system so the customer can contact that particular service station to sort it out.
