The robbery happened about 9.43pm on Friday, November 12, at the United Service Station on Gympie Road.
The man entered the business armed with knives before jumping over a counter and threatening a male employee, police said.
The man stole cash and cigarettes before leaving in a silver coloured Holden Commodore.
There were no physical injuries inflicted during the incident.
The same vehicle was later spotted on the Bruce Highway, but the driver evaded police.
