Police are investigating a service station robbery at Port Wakefield in the early hours of this morning.
Just after 1.30 today (Monday 15 November) a staff member at a service station on Port Wakefield Highway was threatened by two women and one man brandishing a screwdriver and scissors.
The thieves demanded cash and cigarettes before leaving in a grey Ford Falcon driven by a fourth suspect, heading south towards the city.
The car was spotted by police at Anderson Walk, Smithfield just after 3am and followed for a short distance before the car was abandoned near the train line in Elizabeth North. The occupants ran from the scene.
Police searched the area with Police Dogs Marley and Arnie, but have not yet located the suspects.
The two women are both described as aged in their early 20s, Caucasian, with heavy builds. One has blonde shoulder length hair and was wearing a black Everlast hoodie and Adidas track pants, no shoes and grey socks.
The second woman was wearing a black hoodie with a white design on the front, grey trackpants, red shoes and a grey face mask.
One of the male suspects is described as being about 180 cm tall, mid 20s, with an athletic build.
The car had been reported stolen from a Salisbury North address earlier in the night.
