The partner of the young man who suffered an 8cm deep stabwound at a Toowoomba 7-Eleven has spoken out about the terrifying attack in broad daylight.
Kitiara Mason-Neumann and Bodi Mcdonald have both been left reeling after Bodi was allegedly stabbed by an old acquaintance at a 7-Eleven in Newtown over the weekend.
A Dalby woman was left fearing for her partner’s life after he became the victim of violent attack at a 7-Eleven in Toowoomba on Saturday morning.
Kitiara Mason-Neumann recalled the gut wrenching feeling she suffered for hours after receiving a call to say her partner, Bodi Mcdonald had been stabbed in the abdomen in an alleged wounding incident.
“It was a terrifying day. I thought it was a bad joke his friend was playing on me at first but when reality kicked in and I didn’t know if I’d ever see his face again, I was heartbroken,” she said.
“I was worried the last time I saw him would be with a bandage around him covered in blood and police not allowing me to be near him.”
Police are still looking for the man alleged to have wounded Mr Mcdonald, 26, at the 7-Eleven service station on the corner of Bridge Street and Hillview Ave in Newtown just after 10am on Saturday, July 31.

One man stabbed the other, before returning to his white Toyota Camry and driving off,” a Queensland Police spokesman said.
“Police have not yet located the alleged attacker at this point in time.”
Mr Mcdonald was transported to the Toowoomba Base Hospital with an eight centimetre deep wound in his abdomen, with surgeons needing to make a 40 centimetre incision along his stomach from having to be opened up to look for any internal damage.
Ms Mason-Neumann said the most harrowing part was the fact Mr Mcdonald knows who his alleged attacker is.
“It was not a car jacking, drug related or a random attack like the news outlets have made it out to be,” she said.
Mr Mcdonald is still in hospital recovering from his wounds.
“He is doing well, very sore and in a lot of pain but the Base Hospital are doing all they can to keep him comfortable and happy,” she said.
Bodi is going to be off work for six to eight weeks so he is stressed about income but apart from that mentally he is coping well … We don’t know where his attacker is or what he’s doing but I just hope that he gets what he deserves because Bodi didn’t deserve this.”
